Join us for the 4thAnnual Unsilent Night : Sacramento! Details below.

WHO: You and you and you and you! It’s FREE, family-friendly, and even dog-friendly. (Humans and dogs must be okay in a walking crowd.)

WHAT: Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night is a free, outdoor participatory sound sculpture. The composition is created when many individuals of all ages simultaneously play one of four tracks on mobile devices played through a roving swarm of speakers carried through city streets. Since 1992, this 45-minute work has grown into a worldwide annual event, and this year marks the 4th annual audience-led performance in Sacramento!

WHERE: We will start and end at the Center Fountain in Fremont Park, 15th & Q Streets, Sacramento CA. Check out this link for the route:

WHEN: Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 6:00PM until roughly 7:00PM. This event will take place rain or shine or Sacramento-cold.

1. Choose your instrument—boom box, Bluetooth speaker, portable speaker, megaphone, whatever is portable and can amplify your sound.
2. Get the music—Install the app to your smartphone or down the tracks to your player. See for links to the apps and tracks.
3. Come with your instrument to Fremont Park and promenade with the group.

WHY: Because it's fun and you get to see and hear a different kind of Sacramento! “Kline’s luminous, shimmering wash of bell tones is one of the loveliest communal new-music experiences you'll ever encounter, and it's never the same twice.” - Time Out New York
